“Por la búsqueda de lo inefable, lo desconocido e insólito” Patricio Alvarez Aragón
CAPA 2017, is a small anthological exhibition curated by the CAPA member, the art historician Patricio Alvarez Aragón and the visual artist Marcos Vidal in the workshop and exhibition hall of the homonymous artist, the espai sant Marc de Sineu in Mallorca. This exhibition will collects a series of carefully selected works from 2006 to 2016 that shows the trade and research of its founder Freddy Flores Knistoff, the Portuguese José Estevao, the North American of Seattle James Burns, the Chilean based in Wormerveer Jorge J. Herrara Fuentealba and the Chilean based in Palma Patricio Alvarez Aragón.
CAPA 2017, es una pequeña exposición antológica comisariada por el miembro de CAPA, el historiador del arte Patricio Alvarez Aragón y el artista visual Marcos Vidal en el taller y sala de exposiciones del homónimo artista, el espai sant Marc de Sineu en Mallorca. Dicha exposición agrupará una seríe de obras cuidadosamente seleccionadas de entre los años 2006 a 2016 que muestran el oficio e investigación de su fundador Freddy Flores Knistoff, el portugués José Estevao, el norteamericano de Seattle James Burns, el chileno afincado en Wormerveer Jorge J. Herrara Fuentealba y el chileno afincado en Palma Patricio Alvarez Aragón.
CAPA de Collective Automatic Painting Amsterdam is a Movement founded by the Chilean artist Freddy Flores Knistoff, based in Amsterdam since 1985, and the Dutch artist Rik Lina in 1991, CAPA represents the continuation of the experimental movements CoBrA and Phases in the exercise of automatic painting, as well as on the Modifications by Enrico Baj and Asger Jorn and, the investigations on collective automatic painting by surrealist Roberto Matta in his New York period with the artists of the New York school, among them Jackson Pollock stands out. CAPA has exhibited in France, Chile, Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands, with collective works and automatic interventions.
CAPA de Collective Automatic Painting Amsterdam es un Movimiento fundado por el artista chileno Freddy Flores Knistoff, afincado en Ámsterdam desde 1985, y el artista holandés Rik Lina en 1991, CAPA representa la continuación de la estela experimental de CoBrA y Phases en el ejercicio de la pintura automática, así como sobre las modificaiones de Enrico Baj y Asger Jorn y, las investigaciones sobre pintura automática colectiva del surrealista Roberto Matta en su periodo neoyorkino junto a los artistas de la escuela de Nueva York, de los que destacan Jackson Pollock. CAPA ha expuesto en Francia, Chile, Brasil, Alemania, Portugal, España y Holanda, con trabajos colectivos e intervenciones automáticas.
